Certified Professional Coach - Part 1 - ACC/Practitioner
Would you like to learn the fundamental skills of coaching or develop your coaching leadership abilities? One of the most important qualities of an effective coach is being results-oriented. Results-focused coaching is a skill that anyone can learn, whether you want to build your own coaching practice or apply coaching techniques as a leader or manager. Ultimately, coaching conversations and coaching leadership require the same core competencies.
During our Certified Professional Coach – Part 1 program, we place a strong emphasis on coaching skills, establishing effective coaching agreements, and results-focused coaching. We also work extensively with the core coaching competencies defined by the ICF and NOBCO/EMCC. Our programs are highly experiential, giving every participant the opportunity to work with real-life cases from their professional or personal lives. Throughout the program, we focus on the following coaching principles:
- Awareness
- Insight
- Taking and sharing responsibility
- Partnership and equality
- Results orientation
We do not distinguish between participants who are already working as coaches and those who are new to the profession. We believe that everyone has something valuable to contribute and learn from one another. That is why we intentionally create diverse learning groups, fostering a natural, engaging, and enriching learning experience that participants can apply in every aspect of their lives.
The Certified Professional Coach – Part 1 program is a blended coach training program accredited by the International Coaching Federation (ICF), Post-HBO, and NOBCO/EMCC Global. The ICF is the world’s largest professional coaching organization, while EMCC Global promotes excellence in coaching and mentoring throughout Europe and serves as a hallmark of quality for professional coaches. We are proud to be the only training provider offering all of these prestigious accreditations within a single program.
Professional coaching has become an essential skill in today’s world. It is a competency that can be developed step by step through extensive practice, peer learning, self-reflection, practical coaching experience, observed coaching sessions, mentor coaching, literature study, and peer supervision.
This course is a Blended format at location Eindhoven or Utrecht Lunetten.
Our approach is highly experiential. Participants work with real-life coaching cases drawn from their own professional and personal experiences, which are explored through reflection and feedback. The balance between theory and practice throughout the program is approximately 25% theory and 75% practical application. Outside the classroom, participants are encouraged to read, study, and practice extensively.
The program is built around fundamental coaching principles, including developing awareness and insight, taking and sharing responsibility, building partnerships based on equality, and maintaining a strong focus on meaningful results.
Participants are expected to systematically reflect on their learning experiences by maintaining a learning journal throughout the program. In addition, they apply their learning in practice by conducting at least 12 coaching sessions.

Admission Interview
After your registration has been received, you will be invited to an online admission interview. During this conversation, we will discuss your learning objectives and areas for development, as well as your opportunities to gain practical coaching experience within your own professional or personal environment.
The admission interview is free of charge and helps ensure that the program is a good fit for your learning goals and professional ambitions.
By completing this program, you will meet the educational requirements to pursue professional credentials with both the International Coaching Federation (ICF) at the ACC level and NOBCO/EMCC Global at the Foundation and/or Practitioner level.
For NOBCO/EMCC Global, you also have the opportunity to complete your individual accreditation directly through our institute. This integrated certification pathway is known as Embedded EIA.
Embedded EIA
EIA stands for EMCC Global Individual Accreditation. In the Netherlands, this internationally recognised credential is awarded through NOBCO, the Dutch member organisation of EMCC Global. The EIA framework consists of four accreditation levels that recognise a coach’s professional competence and experience.
Since 1 January 2024, our institute has been authorised to award the Embedded EIA directly as part of our accredited EQA programs. This means that, instead of submitting a separate application to NOBCO/EMCC Global after completing your training, you can work towards your EMCC Global Individual Accreditation (EIA) during and immediately following the program, with guidance and support from our faculty.
If you would like to learn more about the Embedded EIA pathway or register for this certification process, please send us an email at info@associatievoorcoaching.com or schedule an online appointment here.
